Some work was done to the shell and the roof.
Front received its windows and the roof the inlet grill for radiators
Additionally the exhausts outlets were mounted
The rear got its modified door windows, rear light and horns
The underbody received basic details (air & fuel tanks, battery boxes) which are visible in the side view
One may notice that the window & doors scheme is not symmetrical (front door and smaller window close to the passenger's compartment only on engineer's side). This is modeled after the original floor plan - obviously the brass model wasn't done with that plan on hand (it has symmetrical door & window scheme on both sides).

PRR #4663 - update on shell
The body was shortened by an inch after finding the correct dimensions in a floor plan. Openings for baggage doors and windows were cut. Fornt truck will not be shifted - its positions fits quite well to the places of side windows and door on engineer's side.
Original McKeen with basic trucks
Basic truck constructions were attached to the shell
Motorized rear truck is from an USA Trains GE 44t; front truck consists of a Bachmann steam tender loco's front axle (spoked, with bigger diameter) and a Bachmann wooden coach's axle. Both front and rear trucks' side frames has to be modified.

Paint job on UP's M-23
Motor car #23 received its paint - however, there are some touch-ups necessary (headlight, marker lights etc.) and decals for lettering have to be made / found.

PRR's #4663 streamlined motor car - basic body and roof
As posted earlier here are some pictures of the shell's & roof's basic assembly
The trucks are positioned for 'lifting' the body only - the front truck has to lowered into the shell, the rear truck has to be shortened significantly.
window and baggage door arrangement will be modified according to prototype scheme.

M-23 motor car: rivets applied
M-23 now has all the necessary rivets applied using Archer rivet decals. Sometimes I had to guess the shape of the rivet lines since the photos are not clear enough to show such details. Additionally I noticed that even Overland's M-24 has left out some rivets (roof's segmentation of the rear round end).

PRR's rebuilt/streamlined motor car #4663 in 1/29
I just have started with a basic body assembly for building PRR's motor car #4663, a shop-rebuilt Pullman-Westinghouse. It was streamlined (shovel-nosed) and rebuilt to diesel-electric by PRR's shops.
I use a Aristo doodlebug body; body and roof lengths are extended with Aristo HW left-over parts from the McKeen-projects.
Front truck will be from a USA Trains NW-2 (similar to the M-23), the rear truck a shortened Aristo HW-truck.
The shovel-nose will be made with styrene sub-construction and styrene lay-over panel (similar to the McKeen noses).
Pictures will follow as soon as some progress is worth to show.

M-23: further details attached
Drip rails, electrical conduits and screens were attached to the roof. A few more handrails, new screens and rear mirror/windshield were applied to the shell. The front truck was slightly modified, but still missing center leaf springs.

M-23 motor car: more details & stretched rear truck
Some progress to show:
Doors were added, grab irons attached, cooling device further detailed, couplers mounted, and the rear truck's wheelbase was expanded.

M-23 motor car: update
Some progress on the motor car:
Now all cut-outs for windows and doors received brass frames - for doors a simple L-shape, for windows an H-shape with one leg removed.
The front grill below the window received a metal grid, but in comparison with prototype photos it is a bit coarse (although it is finer than that of my Overland M-24). I'll change it to a finer mesh.
Basic boxes for battery boxes right after the front truck, the cooling device, and the frames for cooling opening on the roof were attached.
The rear truck's wheel base will be stretched by app. 7/16" - currently under construction.

UP's M-23 rebuilt McKeen
Some progress on the M23 in 1/29 scale:
Aristo Heavyweight's basic body, USA Trains' NW-2 front truck (side frames will be modified) and Aristo Sierra's rear truck.
Parabolic front and round rear have a styrene sublayer on a frame and were covered with some layers of glass fiber & resin.
The pilot's additional tapered off lower extension is under construction
